Sorting some old pics out and surprised to see I managed to get a Cetti’s Warbler back in April at Langford Lowfields. My best ever pic of one! #nottsbirding #birds #ukbirding #birdsseenin2026 #warblers #cettiswarbler

How cool is the Sand Martin Hide at Attenborough NR?

Little bit of time this afternoon to stop by. Great place, lovely views of a Hobby and a Cuckoo among nearly 50 species!

First Swift and Cuckoo of the year at Langford Lowfields this evening. Also first Sedge Warbler and heard Bittern. Briefly saw a Cetti’s, finally. Nice to bump into @notbirdingnick.bsky.social too. #nottsbirding ##ukbirds #birds #ukbirding #birdsseenin2026 #swift #cuckoo

Year tick Yellow Wags & a Wheatear all beautifully lined up like musical notes on a wire fence. Too distant to capture sadly.
Enjoyed observing common birds, a Blackcap hunting insects, a nest building Chiffy with a feather in its bill. Also a Cattle Egret in flight

I walked around the whole of Langford Lowfields today & I’m knackered. Found a pair of Yellow Wags, many Willow Warbler & 2 Lesser Whitethroats, all of which were NFY (#189). Nice to see a female Goosander & Peregrine scything through. No luck seeing a Cetti’s still. #birds #ukbirding #nottsbirding

Lifer Alert and only 20 mins from home! Leach's Storm-Petrel at Slaynes Lane this morning. Amazing to watch it in flight (harassed by the Black-headed Gulls) and see the size comparison. Safe travels LSP #nottsbirding #ukbirding

A lifer for #SuperSeabirdSunday!

A Leach's Storm-Petrel was found at Idle Washlands, Nottinghamshire today.

Very windy making sea like conditions with the waves on the lake. The Leach's seemed right at home.

Incredible! Leach’s Petrel - a bird that lives in the open ocean for most of the year, feeding beyond the edge of the continental shelf of Europe - 40+ miles inland at Misson, Notts this morning. Wow, wow, wow. A knock-out bird. #lifer #ukbirding #birdsseenin2026 #birds #nottsbirding
