What a sweet surreal surprise it was to see one of my novels in the new Netflix TV series FOREVER, 🥰!

The two main characters are both athletes (track and field snd basketball), 😊. Sunny in AKATA WARRIOR (and the whole Nsibidi Scripts series) is a soccer player.

For now, I need to deal with four books coming out within the year. I do have robot parts, but I’m human.
Looks like it’s time for this reminder. Also, the series is now officially called the NSIBIDI SCRIPTS SERIES (it’s not a trilogy, it’s a series. There’s more after Akata Woman, just don’t ask me when).

My novel AKATA WOMAN won the 2023 Lodestar Award for Best Young Adult Book! It was presented at the Hugo Awards in Chengdu, China (yep, my 1st time in China!). I’m still stunned! Akata Warrior won it in 2018, 😃, so this is a big win for The Nsibidi Scripts series and for africanjujuism! 🇳🇬

The oldest among the secret societies associated with Nsibidi were the Nnimm Society of Ejagham women. This society is said to have received the signs from mythical beings (mermaids) and shared them with the Ngbe (leopard) society of Ejagham men.
