Daytime scene on a clear, sunny Saturday in the central park of a resplendent City, looking across the calm waters of a body of water known as a meer, which is much like a large pond; at the other side of the meer, a thin layer of algae stretches across its width, whereas this side reflects the grand towers, green tree-line, and the clear blue sky above; this area was an important fortification during the war of eighteen-twelve; in the foreground, the lush, green, tropical plants at the shore of the meer frame the bottom of the scene.
