One thing I like about the OGoA TTRPG is the intrusions. It feels like an extension of extraordinary forces beyond our understanding. It’s more than just playing a character, you are inflicting this persons life. It’s a very fun way to link player knowledge into a character.

They also have a Patreon, a Discord, do a few live shows & @montecookgames.com has a TTRPG based on the podcast, if that is something of interest.

My DM didn't even want to tell me what system we were going to be jumping into but I'm too hooked in to have not worked it out. All the same, I haven't looked into any of the mechanics or much of the setting so this is gonna be a fun little adventure to replace our OGoA game.

My Tuesday games are Mothership® RPG which creates characters fast & plays faster so it's easier with that system to just invite someone via a mutual Discord server. My Saturday games, however, are usually custom long-term Vaesen or OGoA, which complicates new blood additions beyond rare one-shots.

I'm sure the Vampire stuff would have been fine if it had been it's own podcast but the only thing that tied it back to the rest of OGOA was Blevins and it felt like an entirely different show based on an entirely different ruleset.

That said, OGoA ttrpg feels a little too much like Numinera with proper nouns changed.
Magnus Archives feels like a step in the right direction, though the inclusion of cyphers as amorphous power ups feels like Monte insisted "Cyphers are the Core of the Cypher System" so they had to include them.
