Sares Wood, Marl Pits Wood and Pallington Heath 1977. Very different to the latest map:
www.wsx.routegadget.co.uk/rg2/#88
A very fine area back then. #OldOrienteeringMaps #Omaps #Orienteering

Wharncliffe 1978
#JK individual with M17 course. Lots of rock features in an area often wheeled out by #SYO for big events. #OldOrienteeringMaps #OMaps #Orienteering

Spatial Biology: In case you would like to explore multicolor images (the individual channels are in black and white), here you can find some datasets I uploaded to Zenodo, which are part of the OMAPs (www.nature.com/articles/s41...).

Cramond, 1980 Cramond to Silverknowes with a photocopied map for an evening event. Mapped by Carol McNeil and others from Dunfermline College, the big black buildings on the west of the area (now houses). #OldOrienteeringMaps #OMaps #Orienteering #ESOC

Staindale 1980 (Dalby). Nearest I got to an international appearance - represented SOA in the interregional champs. Was cut to bits by new shoes. Like Terry Butcher but at the other end. #OldOrienteeringMaps #OMaps #NorthYorkMoors

Linford Brook 1978
A large chunk of New Forest and one of my best runs.

The very much missed Twenty Shilling Wood 1979, Comrie, #Perthshire. Used in the second 6 days. #OldOrienteeringMaps #Omaps #ForthValleyOrienteers #TaysideOrienteers

Moseley Green 1988 #BOK #ForestOfDean. The eastern part was covered by the 1973 Oakenhill Wood map of variable scale infamy. #OldOrienteeringMaps #OMaps #Orienteering

Torrieston 1983. Intended for a permanent course there is no white areas, the runnable forest is shown as green. Supposedly less confusing for the target audience but they still kept yellow for open. #OldOrienteeringMaps #Moravian #Omaps #Orienteering

Loch Ard North 1977. Otherwise known to those who have "run here as Loch Hard. Still grim off tracks, I have had some recent tussles getting to some of the hill tops. #OldOrienteeringMaps #OMaps #Perthshire #Scotland

Object Maps (OMAPs) are similar to AMAPs, but specify the locations of static objects (decorations, ammo & shield pickups) within the level.

Static Objects are indexed within the level .txt and also correlate with the color map offset by 1 like the AMAPs.

Coille Mhòr, Loch Rannoch 1975. Very enjoyable going so far into the Highlands. Much of the area is Caledonian pine wood . I have just realised that it was mapped because #UniversityOfStirling had an outdoor centre there. #OldOrienteeringMaps #OMaps #FVO

Here are the links to the published OMAPs:
OMAP-10 (zenodo.org/records/7875...)
OMAP-21 (zenodo.org/records/1313...)
If you need help how to import the data into your software, please feel free to contact me.
The next will be out in December. Stay tuned.

2/7 OMAPs (Organ Mapping Antibody Panels) 🔬

It focuses on validating antibodies used in multiplex imaging.
It looks at a single application but across multiple contexts, such as different human tissues and imaging methods.

My father does the same thing. The islands in this map was done in winter when one could walk to them. Never had a control point at any of them.

OMAPs have been updated. humanatlas.io/omap

Omap-23, generated on MACSima can be downloaded from zenodo.org/records/1400...

Will post a some images during this year from Omap-23.
