1:10000 scribed orienteering map of a runnable forest on a steep slope overlooking a railway. There is striking line of crags shown with a sawtooth symbol rather than the usual crag symbol. Very clear map with the shade of green associated with EBOR maps of the time.

The western half of the Beaudesert map used for the two classic races at the 1981 Jan Kjelstrom Orienteering festival. Very runnable forest with lots of spurs and reentrants with a few big clearfell area. Now a popular mountain biking venue and still used for major orienteering events.

5 colour orienteering map. Calder Wood 1:7500 drawn by Robert Bloor. On a photogrammetric base map so a bit of an investment. The area is a lightly wooded plateau between two rivers. Slopes to the river are steep. Thinly wooded area with scattered old trees. There is much fallen timber on the ground. An orienteering control flag is hung in the middle distance.

Two copies of a course (M19L Blue-brown probably) in a small runnable finely contoured area. Big clearing in the middle, otherwise mostly white. Scribed 1:10,000 scale. View of a once coppiced oakwood with little ground vegetation. Lots of many trunked small trees and the floor red with fallen leaves.

Wrekin 1979. E. half of the map which included some very brambly industrial ground on limestone as well as the Uriconian ridge itself. 1st use was for the Midland Championships. East Monaughty 1980. Clearfelling soon took this forest off the fixture list. I would have spent a lot of time on an EUOC bus to get there. Premarked maps were a well loved luxury at this time.

A 1:15000 scribed orienteering map of the forest behind Pluscarden Abbey, Morayshire. The forest is runnable with a lot of clear felled coupes. The clear fell symbol used is a yellow and white diagonal striping screen which was used a fair bit at this time. A small sheet and a very attractive map. M19 - M35 course overprint.
