Oathmark has an optional rule (yes I know it's fantasy) for Shield Wall. "While in Shield Wall formation, the unit receives -1 Fight and +1 Defence during any combat to its front facing." Which I feel is rather appropriate for the game.
Dux Brit (as mentioned already) is my favourite though.

The first 10 Orcs are almost finished, I’ve just got to finish the bases. I’ve also put together the next 8 ready for when the first lot are done.
I’m going to end up with 20 Orcs with hand weapons and shields and 10 archers from this first box. 👍

The archon studios skeleton kit from their dungeons and lasers line looks really nice as well, not an oathmark thing, but just tossing that out there for good looking skeletons.

At least for Frostgrave/Stargrave they tend to release a few characters/specialists with most updates, so hopefully that will be the case for Oathmark.

Well, there are command packs of metal miniatures for Oathmark and the Dwarves one does include a Wizard IIRC.

A few heads from Frostgrave in Oathmark kits should help with the mixed gender stuff and some Frostgrave kits could be used to represent human specialist units.

I decided not to go overboard and change the standard. I’m going to make an actual banner, and once it’s in place, I’ll see if it needs anything else.

From what I've seen frostgrave, oathmark and victrix goes along pretty well when kitbashing 😊

I think it would be ok, although Frostgrave minis are a little smaller. But there’s nothing heads should look ok on Oathmark bodies.

I have had a similar thing with the Stargrave plastics and how lovely they are to make and paint.
Oathmark does look very tempting too as I assume they'll be similar and there's a lot you can play with them. I'm thinking of using Revenants as bronze age undead for a fantasy setting... eventually.

Ah thanks Lina. Oathmark is great because it’s miniatures agnostic, so any miniatures will do. That being said, it’s tricky when funds are an issue. But there’s nothing to stop you planning a Kingdom and creating your lore and maps etc. You’ll get there eventually. 😃

On a slightly related note, things like your Oathmark stones have certainly inspired me to think a bit more about fantasy forces, as most of my collection is sci-fi or historical.

Still, I have decided that once I manage to get a new job, those Oathmark kits will need to be brought to the top of the list, rather than continue to be postponed indefinitely.

One thing I have been wanting to do for a while was to build some fantasy armies using Oathmark kits, but that has always been low on my future purchase lists, so it has been delayed for quite a while. In part that was good because there are a lot more kits now than when I first thought about that.

The Orc Warlord is now finished and I’m chuffed how well he turned out.
I’ve got another ten orcs built, based and ready for painting, which I’ll start today and see if I can get them done in batches of ten.

After a couple of tests, I decided that I like the reddish brown skin tone best. I’ve still got the details and highlights to do yet.
We’re also debating setting the campaign in the Tolkien-verse, although not within the known history.
