Yesterday the grid paid me to run the dishwasher. Electricity was -1.1p/kWh at half past two.
The same load at five o'clock would have cost 42.5p. Same house, same machine, only the time of day changed.

After last night’s solid negative pricing, today looks a lot more sporadic so a lot harder to find the cheapest times. Glad we charged the #EV last night #octopusagile

Are EVs being subsidised by guaranteed cheap night rates throughout the year ?
Many of us have batteries but do not get offered the lower rates #OctopusAgile rate are based on the half hourly market rate.

@jfparis Long time since we've had very low prices on #octopusagile either. Was down to about 5p/kWh a couple of times in the last week or so but I think that was the first time this year. No negative prices so far this year AFAIK (and I think I'd have noticed).
