Been raining pretty much all day, sometimes hard, but not super scary. However, this is Texas, so power is out. For some reason Oncor cannot keep the lights on whenever it rains. It’s pretty sad.

The insurance crisis is hitting utilities and ratepayers, too. Oncor, CenterPoint, and Xcel say utilities' premiums in Texas are "500% higher" than 2021, part of it due to wildfire risk, which increases as global temperatures increase.
