Back to the aesthetic of my last game, #ongrid!
Gameplay now focuses on delivering and storing goods.
I’ve decided to create the maps entirely myself.
Still #WIP, but I’m loving the direction!

A thought on attacks on Ukraine's energy grid: if everyone had small wind turbines on their decks producing power back into the grid, it would be difficult to destroy thousands of producers.
FYI, they already make these for this exact purpose.

I do find it astounding, despite tracking the solar boom in Pakistan and knowing it's big, that a country with 248m people, only about 50GW of big ongrid power plants, and economic growth has a *power surplus*.
Also note embedded solar power production probably doesn't count directly in GDP stats.

If you have physical PPAs or onsite renewables, you are limited to the capacity factor of your renewables (can still be feasible especially with co-located plants). If you're topping up from the grid when renewables aren't available, you're just another ongrid load.

Unblocking grid/gen planning was pretty half hearted; failure of a plan for managed closure of the gas grid; no 'new ongrid boiler' ban date is also going to keep hurting.
