#Orangutangs
his work builds on the amazing open science work of Nisarg Desai where they trained a model on Bonobos, Orangutangs, Chimpanzees, Gibbons/Siamang, and Gorillas (lens.elifesciences.org/86873/), which we combine here with other recent tools for bounding box detection and optimized ID tracking.

“Planet of the Apes’” seems to be an exception, w/chimps as the scientists and engineers, and gorillas as brute force military. (And orangutangs as fundie preachers.)

Overall, you’re right, though. Esp. at DC comics.

Made the mistake of doing too well so naturally I had to get 3 teams in a row that had orangutangs as teammates to guarantee I lose. My mistake.

Thanks! The overall head shape is based on a camel, and the whiskers on the snout are based on catfish whiskers. The eyes and area around them are based on ape faces, though, especially orangutangs. 🥰

Orangutangs are such beautiful creatures. What a delightful ape.

Orangutangs lost a fair bit of habitat there well before now. I find bears a better example as in a fire a mother bear lies down over her cubs. In a bad one they will die in agony to try to save the future. Until 3 years ago they were as abundant as they had been when I had attended grade 7 ...

2. Applies to primates as well. People fear gorillas while being amused by chimpanzees and thinking orangutangs remind them of wise old men.

But gorillas being vegetarians rarely attack humans. Chimps and orangutangs are actually far more aggressive.

Do ogres and mange-ridden orangutangs count as pets?

Trumps new wig was made from the remnants of an Orangutangs plughole.

Infinitely easier than cloning them later! Also: pretty much every mammal picks up important bits of how to be its kind of mammal from parents, whatever came from cloning wouldn't be rhinos or gorillas or orangutangs as we've known them.

be nice to, I don't know, try to save rhinos and gorillas and orangutangs and rare species of whales and dolphins first

'Why are we making the entire branch of species of primate containing sivapithecus, the ancestor of modern orangutangs, migrate away from us to Asia?'

'Because they ponginae'.
I know this means shared in that both our ancestors had the capability but I am choosing to believe it means 15 million years ago, great apes and humans hd a laugh together over some unknown but very ancient joke.

Terry Pratchett's Discworld in particular almost demands a specific non-chronlogicak L-Space dimension order to read through, and no two people (or orangutangs) can agree what that order is.

31% of WHAT?
VOTERS?
HA!!

Maybe it's 31% of the entire population, which includes a lot of people who unfortunately DO NOT VOTE & DO NOT CARE?

All of the Orangutangs in American Zoos?

Those who also became oxtogenarians this year (excluding Robert Reich?)

All of the US Magats!
BINGO!🚫

really, that's more profitable than getting a bunch of drunk dudes on a boat to watch guys punch each other for not nearly enough money.

Hmm...can they do Orangutangs punching dudes? I bet there's laws against that kind of thing for the welfare of the Orangutangs. Oh well, no sidekick for Philo.

Something interesting about human nature: during filming of the 1968 movie "The Planet of the Apes", there were actors playing humans, chimps, gorilla's and orangutangs. During breaks, humans sat with humans, chimps with chimps, gorillas with gorillas, and orangutans with orangutans.

I forgot i posted this and I still need to draw the clans of orangutangs defending themselves from poachers.
I had a dream where climate and wildlife activists got fed up and taught orangutans self defense and it was so devestatingly affective that they did a documentary on it and the sign language that one made up to get the message of "I will crush your balls" across was so funny. Also the doctor in it>>

Orangutangs should be offended
Gas prices are damned, well into the 2039-40’s if it ever goes down in our lifetime. Trump has deliberately screwed the next 5 generations. REMOVE HIM NOW.☠️💩

When the Dutch came to the East Indies the people there told them that orangutangs understand speech but pretend not to, because they don't want to work. A bit unrelated, just my favourite bit of trivia about orangutangs.

i trust orangutangs more with domestic, foreign, and economic policy
