one thing i want to do a study on at some point is how oration and rhetoric in the American political sphere has become almost entirely something only liberals and the left in Congress have compared to 20th century politics

i think the funniest thing is the Claremont guys love to talk about how classical rhetoric and oration is important and then support Trump
It is genuinely underrated how absolutely terribly written Trump speeches are. Obviously he’s bad at delivering them too and his ad libs are worse but the quality of the craft is just abhorrent.
