Pretty cool. And all the data is shared into a network of cameras across the planet.

When possible to do so, the system estimates the origin of each meteor observed and plots it out graphically. This image shows the observed paths as solid lines, then dotted lines back to a point in the sky where the meteor is likely to have originated, which is how meteor showers are named - usually the part of the sky they appear to come from. The Orionids appear to emanate from Orion, for instance. At the bottom of the picture is a graphic that shows which showers are observable when, and colours them to make it easier to see which meteor came from where.

Love that it streaks right past Menkar. Orionids hit at around 66 km/s, so getting one this crisp in a single frame is a nice bit of luck.
