You get the sense quite a few of the “air conditioning is a decadent luxury” crowd are also harboring ideas about how awfully convenient it’d be if heat waves killed off a few million excess poor people
yeah theres definitely some ecofash eugenicist crossover going "the world is too overpopulated" and suggesting that if theres big enough die-offs therell be enough resources for all incl to keep using oil and polluting, itll just be fine now, thats ecologically friendly right
