"SLC25A34 is proposed to import oxaloacetate into mitochondria, dually supporting the tricarboxylic acid cycle and cytosolic acetyl–coenzyme A (acetyl-CoA) production."
Mitochondrial carrier SLC25A34 links clock, diet, and temperature control of adipocyte lipid cycling
Adipocyte lipid metabolism is coordinated by circadian rhythms, diet, and environmental temperature, but how these diverse signals are molecularly integrated remains unknown. We showed that these cues...

Hi Andrew, could I ask you about how you get oxaloacetate? Is it prescription based, is it pricey? Where do you get it? I understand the mechanistic relevance of the compound for ME, so I'm curious to experiment if that's something one could responsibly do unsupervised. Any advice is very welcome!

Fighting a bug and insufficient Oxaloacetate making me an extra groggy boy. I bought some weaker formulation OAA but even that seems slow to ship. Waah.

Any spare Oxaloacetate I can buy from you?

It's currently on back order due to demand. Thanks!

Organic acid accumulation can disrupt mitochondrial function, but how? This study shows that the accumulation of oxaloacetate damages mitochondrial structure by inhibiting the MICOS complex, thereby preventing MIC60-dependent membrane remodeling.

So now I have to decide if I should buy Oxaloacetate CFS (the ME person’s version) but that is most definitely made a shipped from the US and it costs $$$ so would definitely be very bad to do trade war wise.

4mg. Any more and PEM-like symptoms.

Oxaloacetate has been the game changer for me, but it's expensive. There are discount codes, which help. I can only do this cos Sharon bank rolls me.

Private tests show I have leaky mitochondria membranes, so I try to support this and mito function as priority; Oxaloacetate (£), LDN and breath holds. Plus a dozen mito energy & function supplements. I'm v.lucky that Sharon my partner subsidises this. I eat lots fish, nuts & seeds for the omegas.

Thanks Jamie! Do you have a sea view at least, or an option to glance it with a shorter walk? Something restorative about just seeing it, I find :)

My wonder supplement is the very expensive Oxaloacetate, which I couldn't afford were it not for Sharon supporting on living costs.

I have also started one new medication and several new supplements including oxaloacetate so it could be a lot of things behind the improvement. I also stayed upstairs for about 4 months after my gallbladder (and got my inflamed gallbladder removed) so again, many factors.

Daratumumab Pilot Study Offers New Insights into ME/CFS
A new pilot study has added to the growing evidence that the immune system may play an important role in ME/CFS for some patients. Researchers investigated daratumumab, a medication that targets long-lived plasma cells, the immune cells responsible for producing antibodies. Their hypothesis is that, in a subgroup of pe

Three ME/CFS Conferences in One Month
At Oxaloacetate CFS, one of the most rewarding parts of our work is connecting directly with the clinicians, researchers, and patients who are dedicated to advancing the understanding of ME/CFS. This past month has been especially meaningful for our team as we’ve attended three major conferences focused on complex chro

Going cold turkey on sleep meds. Daridorexant got me through 15 months of awful, but now ineffective. Antihistamine based drugs so short term. My ME seems reasonably stable thanks to Oxaloacetate and am rarely tired and wired so fingers crossed. A first night of restless nightmares down, thanks LDN.
