Ah crap. Really disappointed to see the #OxfordLiteraryFestival has two anti-trans extremists (Helen Joyce and Julie Bindel) taking up two-thirds of their “LGBTQ+” programme. Yowch.

Would love to have had a ticket to the interview of @hjoycegender Helen Joyce (x handle, not blue sky p. Blue sky admin allowed someone to use the ID here ). I don’t agree with everything she says but her book was compassionate and balanced. #sexmatters.Well done #oxfordliteraryfestival

A lovely afternoon at the @oxfordliteraryfestival under the dreaming spires (well, in the Institute of Mathematics). Thanks to everyone who came, for all of my lovely presents, and to the festival for having me. Until next time...👋

PS One of the daughters (who is at uni in Oxford) is in the video!

Not my normal reading material but @noreenmasud.bsky.social seems like a decent sort and finding out the opinions of Scottish Pakistani women on flat places and colonialism also sounds pretty good.

You should go buy one of her books.

A cosmic joke or pre-determined? Enjoyed a concise and fascinating overview of our shared history presented by Tim Coulson at #OxfordLiteraryFestival. On this #AprilFoolsDay I ask not only why "we" exist but how "all of us" might continue existing?
