Assembly was great, and decals were pretty good aside from the tail stripes which were a pain and just hand painted them instead

The narrative also, perhaps inadvertently, discounts that Japanese pilots learned the strengths and weaknesses of Allied aircraft and adapted too. This wasn't a unique phenomenon. It's a basic aspect of any air campaign. The Japanese captured and tested P-40s. That didn't stop the P-40.

The Tuskegee Airmen earned the nickname “Red Tail Angels” because their planes’ tails were painted red and they were viewed as angels by the bomber crews they escorted. They completed more than 200 bomber escort missions, damaged 409 German planes and sank a battleship. /end
