yeah I was also thrown by like, does abuse and physical threats count if it's in your direct family member's household but not in yours, but you can see the effects of it every day and it casts a pall over four different immediate family relationships? it didn't even occur to me til after I said no

Maybe destination races aren’t the right thing for me. I feel like a pall is cast over the last few days of this trip. But also idk what fuckin marathon I’d have done instead, nothing close to home also comes with basically ideal weather like I had here.
