The Sharp PC1500 (circa 1982) had a Z80 like processor. I was bowled over to discover 2 French enthusiasts had figured out its instruction set by using a combination of BASIC PEEK, POKE and CALL commands. I shudder to think how often they had to restart the device.

Mon ordi suivant, le PC1500, avait 8K natif et aussi une option de 16K hors de prix et en plus de la taille d’une batterie d’appareil photo 😅

Je SAIS que je connais cet ordi, alors que je crois bien que je l’ai jamais possédé (l’année de sa sortie j’ai acheté un Sharp PC1500, donc peu probable que j’aie eu les fonds - et l’idée! - d’en acheter un deuxième l’année suivante. Mais je sais que c’était un outil génial!)

My first programmable computer was a Sharp PC1500. it had a built in 4 colour plotter that printed on a roll of receipt paper.
You programmed it in basic, line by line, only able to view one line at a time.
Taught me so much about constraints and problem solving skills.
