I know we just went through a viral plague, but the 'black plague' is a bacterium. Penicillin kills it. So there's no sense in freaking out over it.

Neosalvarsan was, of course, the first effective treatment for syphilis, before being replaced by penicillin in the 1940s!!! (It contained high levels of toxic arsenic which caused severe side effects like vein damage, rashes and liver damage).

So the article says that they’re selling out of antibiotics. But, from what I’ve read, penicillin isn't going to stop it, though the right antibiotics do, if administered in 72 hours. We need to ramp up on variants that do work. But there’s no guarantee it’s pneumonic plague either. Liars lie
