What I find most puzzling about this is "PIRG also said OpenAI had told it that it had 'suspended this developer for violating our policies.' " Implying OpenAI thinks the fault lies with the toy company? which yes in part but why wouldn't this happen with ANY "GPT enabled" toy?

I worked for PIRG in college. Asking a cynical public for money sucks, but that doesn't mean the groups or their mission are bad. It's the only counter-balance to people who give money to advance policy that is most certainly not in the public interest.
