We'll know we're truly screwed if/when they start bringing in the PMCs. At that point, it will probably take a full scale insurrection or military coup to "save" us and the history on that sort of action is not good.

Constellis bought the remnants of blackwater. It's basically the umbrella for all private security work for the USG. They mostly guarded bases in AFG, and maybe secure diplomats moving around in Kabul. It's not really accurate to conflate this with the psychos in 2003-08 era blackwater.

what i suspect is not that China is involved but rather that PMCs are likely pulling from places outside Africa and Russia now to include East Asia too
