I haven't seen Primary Bully 01 at work in weeks. I touched a monograph for the first time in in October yesterday due to constant, prolonged meetings.

I wasn't sure anyone had talked to this dude at all.

There'll be chat re the size of this, and 'bold design choices', and it IS ridiculously big, but my primary problem with recent cars is that the windows are so tiny. One of the benefit of EV's is that you could have lower bonnet/panel heights and a better view.

Thanks. Fate is fuckin weird.

9/11/01 was a Primary Election Day, too.
So, NYers who did their civic duty voting were probably late getting to work in the WTC, also.

A former classmate was in the Solomon Bros building, 7WTC, when it happened. He made it out alive.

It's mind-boggling. "Across the primary and general elections, both parties — candidates, PACs and other outside groups — have spent a staggering $432 million on Texas’ Senate race." www.texastribune.org/2026/10/01/t...

When it comes to progressives, no good deed, it seems, goes unpunished. Leave it to CNN to turn a story about Sanders providing money and support for progressive Dems abandoned by the "Democratic leadership" into a story about his allegedly not doing enough.

White Sox Home Playoff Tickets Are Selling For Up To $1,000 As Demand Surges At Rate Field https://blockclubchicago.org/2026/10/01/white-sox-home-playoff-tickets-are-selling-for-up-to-1000-as-demand-surges-at-rate-field/
BRIDGEPORT — The White Sox have suddenly become the hot ticket in town. At the beginning of the season in March, the Sox offered an early season ticket package that amounted to as little as $5.32 per game. Now, with the White Sox winning their Wild Card Series against the Houston Astros, the team’s two potential American League Division Series home games against the Cleveland Guardians next week are sold out via its primary ticket market on Ticketmaster. That leaves fans to turn to secondary markets to get into games with resale prices in the hundreds of dollars or more. As of Thursday afternoon, the average asking price for the Sox’s Oct. 7 game at Rate Field was about $362 on SeatGeek, with the cheapest available ticket listed at $222. For the potential Oct. 8 game, which the Sox will play if necessary, the average price was about $378, with tickets starting at $159, according to SeatGeek. On StubHub, tickets for the Oct. 7 game were listed for as little as $255, with some seats going for more than $1,000. On TickPick, tickets for that game started at $240, with listings reaching $1,000. “These prices are absolutely ridiculous,” one commenter wrote on a White Sox Reddit thread. Another commenter wrote, “I don’t even want to look at the prices tbh.” The jump in demand is a far cry from recent years as fans suffered through three-straight 100-loss seasons, including a modern-era record 121 losses in 2024. Playoff tickets, of course, command higher prices than regular-season tickets, but the Sox’s postseason prices have risen sharply compared with the team’s regular season market, which ranked as the third-cheapest in MLB heading into this season, according to a report published by Stadium Journey. Tickets at Rate Field averaged about $70 each on SeatGeek’s resale market this season, according to a company spokesperson. The two ALDS home games are averaging about $219 — roughly three times higher. Against a more recent baseline, the difference is even larger. The Sox’s final 10 regular-season home games averaged about $57 on SeatGeek’s resale market, putting the playoff premium at closer to four times the price. The median paid price has increased about 280 percent from the regular season median, according to SeatGeek. And the resale prices are far higher than the regular ticket prices at the park. The company also said total resale spending per game on the two ALDS games is already running about 19 percent higher than the Sox’ final 10 regular season home games, even though the playoff games have yet to be played. The surge in demand comes after a season in which the Sox drew around 1,986,000 fans, or about 24,500 per game, according to Baseball-Reference. That was up from about 1,445,700 fans, or about 17,850 per game, in 2025 — an increase of about 37 percent in average attendance. For much of the past decade, filling seats has been a challenge for the Sox. The Sox averaged about 16,700 tickets sold per game in March and April from 2013-2023 — excluding 2020 and 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic — according to the Sports Business Journal. That was the sixth lowest in the league during that span. This year, the Sox had nine sellout crowds by August, with the largest crowd of 38,113 for the team’s pope hat giveaway, according to MLB. Even at the end of this season, the Sox were leaning into affordable ticket promotions to get fans through the gates. The last weekend of the year, the team offered tickets for around $40 to get a lower deck seat and “The Muneshot” — a sushi push-pop named for slugger Munetaka Murakami. The team also gave out free fabric ponchos to 15,000 fans and had a fireworks show after last Friday’s game. In March, the team’s Ballpark Pass gave fans access to as many as 28 games in April and May for just $149 total. ______________________________________________________________________ ## **Support Local News!** **Subscribe to Block Club Chicago, **an independent, 501(c)(3), journalist-run newsroom.
