Genome sequencing of both the northern & southern Flying Squirrel (Wolf et al., 2022) enabled reconstruction of their demographic history.
The species split ~1 million years ago -- yet they can hybridize where their ranges overlap.

PSMC has always asked prospective ministers to say how they agree or disagree with the CofF. It makes for good conversions.
