A predominantly Black frat was suspended & also had the worst GPA among *all 70* University of Alabama Greek orgs. That is newsworthy. A predominantly-white one frat banned entirely from campus earlier this year.

I'm honestly on the fence about this.
On the one hand, yes, depending on what one is trying to accomplish, you need those credentials
On the other, PWIs have been pipeline to conservatism and anti-Blackness for a lot alleged leaders.
And a college degree does not equal success.

And I can only speak from my general persp but if you’re a Black person you got to be fucking doofy if you think you won’t need those credentials or connections at some point.
This is not meant to be construed as advise to others on how they should live their lives, but I firmly believe that one of the smartest decisions I've ever made was not going to college despite being surrounded by adults & institutions that insisted it was very important for me to do so.

Had the opportunity to spend the weekend with other parents whose children are choosing HBCUs over PWIs. It was affirming. Excellence is not in question at HBCUs. It is on full display.
