I found this mine on some sort of Willow last week in Scarborough.
I initially dismissed it as being too small for pastorella, but looking at it again, it has a nice strong central crease.
So now wondering if it’s just a small, early mine of pastorella?!

I found this mine on some sort of Willow last week in Scarborough.

Looking at the underside of Crack Willow leaves in the garden produced this example of a mine with a string central crease. Approx 10mm long axis, unfortunately it was parasitized (hole at 9 o’clock) Mine contained frass and front of pupa.
