The peacemaking Minnesotans I met had such clarity and hope. They absolutely believed we can solve our problems and protect each other.

Paying Moscow a transit fee and a gas bill to stop a war it started is not peacemaking, its a protection racket with a ribbon. Europe spent four years cutting that cord. Washington is now asking it to plug back in.

Zelenskyy is stating the floor, not a bargaining position. Any table that redraws Ukraines borders or freezes its future without Kyiv in the chair isnt peacemaking, its the old imperial habit of pricing someone elses country. That habit began the war.

To be honest, that comment struck me as shitstirring rather than peacemaking, but since I had nothing but vague vibes to support it I didn’t think it was worth enquiring further. I could have got entirely the wrong impression.

Israel keeps pointing to Hamas and others' statements or platforms saying the country shouldn't exist as if that totally justifies not engaging or beginning peacemaking. I, personally, am not remotely moved or impressed by that.
I keep asking if the Arab Lists parties have backed off of their "dissolve Israel" platform (the stated reason nobody else will ally with them) and have yet to get any concrete answer, much less an accurate one.
