For some reason, I feel this anguish whenever I’m not perfect at something. I suck at painting, so I’m gonna try to overcome this feeling with the #peachtober26 challenge doing gouache, using the paints I’ve bought a year ago but never tried out of fear of failure 🙃

I grew up among the oak trees, so this felt like painting an old friend. The “Quercus boyntonii” or Alabama Sandstone Oak is a rare + critically endangered species. Thus, this piece is also a reminder of the importance of #landback 🧡
