My first entry for #peachtober26, the prompt was Oak. Wanted to try traditional media but ended up painting it digitally due to time constraints. Turns out I really like this mixed-media combo!

Day 1: Oak 🪾
I grew up among the oak trees, so this felt like painting an old friend. The “Quercus boyntonii” or Alabama Sandstone Oak is a rare + critically endangered species. Thus, this piece is also a reminder of the importance of #landback 🧡
