Peles Castle is one of the most beautiful buildings I have seen. This is the upper level of the main entry hall! Look at that carved wood! It is a beautiful maze of Hill House like spooky corners and dark wood and it is perfect.

A round fountain sits in front of and at the base of stairs to Peles Castle in Romania. The fountain is made of stone and has three stacked tiers, each smaller towards the top. From our angle, we see three nude statues. Two are sitting on the middle tier of the fountain and are twisted into evocative poses that are often seen in nude statues of that era. Their heads are twisted, looking up, arms are on their hips, torso is also twisted, as are the legs of one statue. The top figure has his legs crossed, torso twisted, and his head is looking to the side at a serpent's tail he is holding up with his right hand. The rest of the serpent twists behind the man, and the head can be seen emerging from the back. The stone of the upper two tiers is more of a grey colour, while the base level is a lighter-colored marble or stone. In the background is Peles Castle that has a Gothic and Tudor style to it.

The castle's architecture is a romantically inspired blend of Neo-Renaissance and Gothic Revival similar to Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria. It has a half-timbered facade, a mixture of Italian elegance and German aesthetics. The entire castle is quite ornate with multiple towers, and decorations. It is on the route to Transylvania in Romania. A closer look at the woodwork of the facade and the many leaded windows.
