Screenshot of a letter I wrote to SF Gate after they said that their very popular TV show is going to turn its literal and figurative lens on gig workers:

You can write them, too: peoplebehavingbadly@kron4.com
Hello, As someone who will shame others for throwing trash on the ground, I am absolutely your customer base for People Behaving Badly, and it was the first SF Gate article I clicked on. But my stomach twisted a bit when I read that you're adding gig worker behavior to the list. I get annoyed, often, at gig worker driving habits. But, first of all, they are put in an impossible position that they did not create. If they pick up food "late" or drop it off "late," then customers downvote them and this harms their livelihood. Gig workers did not decide to design our neighborhoods without parking for food delivery, and they are not the ones making billions off of it. But the real reason I'm asking you to think very hard about them is: ICE. Gig workers are disproportionately immigrants, and tend to be exactly in the group of people singled out by ICE because their skin color makes them a target. We also live in an environment where anyone with a TikTok can sic a bunch of right wing choads onto anyone else. You make a choice about who you feature on your show; you choose who not to focus on. I'm urging you to include "underpaid, overworked, precariously employed, targeted, and vulnerable gig workers" to that list. Thank you, -- Cynthia Gómez (she/her)

I'm curious @wspd7pio - Is having blue/black lights over your rear license plate (instead of a white light) an insta-way to get pulled over?

I bet it is....

(2/3) I went to a funeral where the brother of the diseased was famous and asshole people showed up to the funeral, looking for autographs. People on the internet openly bragged about attending Celine Dion’s husband‘s funeral so they could meet her. #funerals #okboomer #PeopleBehavingBadly
