#Pesah
Hosha'not have been recited since the days of the Temple. This is reflected in the Christian bible. Holding palm fronds and shouting "Hosanna?" That's Sukkot behavior. (Not Pesaḥ behavior. I don't know why the gospels think it has anything to do with Pesaḥ. But that's another issue.)

This is very funny on the day after Pesaḥ.

Persian #etymology of the day: عید پاک ʿeyd-e pāk "Easter", from Arabic ʿīd "feast, holiday" (from Aramaic or Syriac ʿīḏā) + French Pâques "Easter", from Latin pascha < Greek πάσχα páskha < Aramaic פסחא pasḥā < Hebrew פסח pesaḥ "Passover". Happy Easter!

Note that the Hebrew forms were borrowed at an older stage than how we know them. That's because they continued to undergo sound changes between the 4th-3rd century BCE, when they entered Greek, and the early Middle Ages when the vowel signs were added:

*mann > man
*mašīḥ > māšīaḥ
*pasḫ > pésaḥ

if this happens, which i hope it does not, i hope it happens *after* my scheduled flight back to the states for pesaḥ

or falls apart before it
I like how ICE being deployed to airports is being portrayed as "gotcha" for Democrats and not a disaster waiting to happen.
