Phase IV doesn’t go down the hokey ‘Giant Ant’ route — rather, all the shots of insects are live footage of ant armies set in precarious circumstances. It’s an actual depiction of their hive mind. Oscar winning cinematographer, Ken Middleham, shot some incredible footage:
