Today in 1944, a Royal Air Force photorecon aircraft flies over the German city of Koblenz, on the River Rhine. A week earlier, RAF Lancaster bombers had struck the city, losing two aircraft and devastating the city centre with fire. The grounds of the ruined Elector's Palace appear bottom centre.

Lithiania's not a police state. So, any large construction project along a long stretch of border would instantly be widely known, including to🇷🇺n spies. Even if it weren't,🇷🇺can do photorecon.

Visited today the CWGC Grave of 404245 Sgt Val Henry at Perros-Guirec Cemetery in Brittany. His grave, bordered with local pink granite, is in immaculate condition. He was lost in the Channel on 18th April 1942 on a photorecon flight for 1 PRE in Spitfire AB119. #LWF
