#Picknsave
Went to Aldi today and realized the reason I've been so confused there lately, is because they took an entire aisle of products out & widened the aisles. Same thing at PickNSave.

We are on our own now.

Better plant a garden - I'm planting a flat of rice seed tomorrow for the garden kiddie pool.

Thanks for all you do. Love Costco. Even Kroger/PicknSave has some deals on canned veggies that usually buy extra to donate.

Starting? My local PicknSave was doing this more than 2 weeks ago! (Limit 2)

My favorite example of this used to be the PickNSave on State vs the PickNSave on 35th. Now people want to tell me it's because State St is a Metro Market and not a PickNSave like it wasn't always a better store.

About four miles difference and they were barely the same store.

Additional info if you're unfamiliar:
➡️Ben & Jerry's is trying to buy back their product line from Unilever, a multi-tiered global co. that no longer supports DEI and trying to strong arm BJs.
➡️Kroger owns many other market chains, incl PicknSave, Metro Markets, Ralphs, Mariano's, Harris-Teeter, +
A good list:

RE: the story about Kroger/PickNSave lying about closing stores in Milwaukee due to theft. First, I don't doubt that the rationale provided is Big K is largely BS, and that the choices were mostly made to strip low margin stores off the books and post a quarterly earnings report

I'm of course aware that that New York is a more expensive city than Milwaukee and that we are "the dairy state," but still, the idea of an $8 gallon of milk is abhorrent to me. Paying $3.50 is caving to convenience to get it at the close grocery store for me instead of PickNSave or Kwik Trip.
noticed my fridge & freezer are gradually getting more empty despite my pretty consistent grocery shopping and i just realized it’s because every time i go to the store i get sticker shock. the cheapest gallon of milk now costs $8. some even as high as $16!
