Ugh, yeah. My geothermal A/C is definitely the MVP in this piemaking endeavour. We were going to go canoeing today, took one look at the forecast, and no thank you.

The cherries are two Morellos and one Richmond Early, they are for piemaking. They're in terra cotta to recover from neglect and root rot and then will go into big plastic pots until next spring.

The recall of these frozen blueberries affects the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. How is this a problem? Seems like a legit culling of the herd to me. Encourage blueberry piemaking!

Ooo is that made in one of those piemaking things. Like a sandwich toaster for pies? If so how did you do it. Mine are always all pastry and no filling!! And I’m scared of burning my fingers putting the pastry in!!! Looks lovely

Piemaking is taken super seriously in my WIP, and some people in certain regions can get rather....creative with the ingredients, like using magic monster parts so it becomes a "fight your food" type of situation

I sometimes interview and we will ask about hobbies but in that way where anyone who can reasonably function in a law office will not answer the question incorrectly.
If I am asked that question I'll talk about Pi Day and piemaking. But whatever. If it's not 1/6 reenactment or something it's fine.

Wow! That's some intense piemaking! Kudos to your mom! I was warned off of using commercial lard because of possible contaminants and advised to use organically produced lard, but that seems expensive and too much bother. I have found that a mix of Crisco and butter works well.
