Finally got my doctor to up me to the max dose of Actos (pioglitazone is the generic). It lowers blood sugar by telling your body to make more new extra sugar sensitive fat cells to store glucose in. Mostly in your lower body.

I can definitely see a body composition change, the fat under my skin has remained about the same, but the visceral fat which pioglitazone triggers the absorption of, is definitely reducing.

I credit my massive fat pad to pioglitazone. I will caution that I did have an extremely minor incident of bladder cancer. It was caught so early and accidentally that treating it was easy. I'm still on it, but I do get bladder scopes annually just to be sure it doesn't come back.
