This little 9-week-old guy joined the family yesterday. Daughter named him Socks (for obvious reasons). Will need a DNA to confirm mix, but current guess is a Pitweiler. (Saw a pic of his mom, and she looked like an American Staffordshire.)

This is Nala, one of the 7 pitweiler pups we rescued. She's 3 months now. Photo from her new home. Rottweiler / APBT cross. The sable gene is usually masked by the dominant black, but some come out sable.

That's not her bed, it's Lucky's bed. You'd think they were related but no, they are different rescues.

All good thanks. Busy painting the "dog hotel" but rather slowed down by looking after the 7 puppies I just rescued from a building site. They have ringworm, which complicates things quite a bit.

Yes... an unexpected event happened. We picked up 7, 6-week-old pitweiler puppies. All female. I heard the litter was 9 but others took the two males. They all have ringworm (tinea) so we are treating them for that. So far, so good!

My pitweiler puppy has a soft mouth. Yesterday after bringing in a young bird she caught in the garden (unharmed) she stole my specs from the table and I found them undamaged in her bed.

My APBT being bothered by one of the rescue pitweilers. He was very patient. You can clearly see the tan markings on that one.

Lucky is my APBT, and our new rescue, Angua, has decided to creep in with him. She is a Rottweiler/APBT cross so I think she'll end up bigger than him.

Sometimes I have a hard time telling how many are in a pile. One has gray eyes, another, green.

Two of the pups. The only sable one and one of the APBT types. We have 1 sable and 3 each of the others. You'd think the ones that look like rotties are actually rotties, but no, they're a cross.
