I've created two rectangles and tried to constrain the distance of the internal one vis a vis the external one's walls.
Already getting those errors that don't make sense to a typical user.
(only briefly toying with it, as I'm mostly busy today)

Alpha decays after each turn, once it reaces 0, objects are purged.

I heard www.shadertoy.com is also nice.
Shaders are fun to play with because the feedback loop is super short - contrary to some of the stuff we do day to day.

To achieve a "clean pixelart look", pixelsize needs to be consistent. But they don't have to be perfect.
When neighbouring pixels have a x2 or x3 size difference, you will notice. But a size difference of +-50% can be tolerated.
