He means people who believe in liberal pluralism, btw. People who aren't bigots. He's not talking about bipartisanship
Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.

The lesson from 2026 is that even amidst rising criticism of Israel, American Jews prioritize liberal pluralism above Israel support, which is bad news for American Jewish groups that have made support for Israel a litmus test, but also evidence Jewish voters are not why US policy is too pro-Israel.

Universities, law firms, and corporations bent over backwards to treat Trump's narrow 2024 victory as a repudiation of pluralism.

That needs to stop.

No more settlements with the administration. No more complying in advance.

i haven't abandoned my goals: i still want more freedom and less oppression for everyone. i just think the best path to achieving those things runs through liberal pluralism with impersonal institutions and decentralized coordination mechanisms like markets.

Long live pluralism.
If there's one concept/rule/life advice you can take from ecology to apply to every other facet of life, it is:

Diversity = Resilience
"The higher diversity of tree species in a forest, the better equipped it will be to handle the compound climate extremes that result from global warming, such as when extreme heat occurs at the same time as drought or unusually high rainfall."

Media pluralism is a good way for society to talk to itself.

Now if only people in media and politics were somehow to understand that instead of remaining stuck on what they understood of computers in 2010, they might suck less at their jobs...
It seems incredibly common sense that a social media platform like Bluesky - without a centralized algorithm controlled in a totally opaque way by a corporation, like Meta and X - would reflect user sentiment more accurately.

All my drafts are nonsense pabulum.

But its just fundamentally good when America embraces its inherent pluralism and self-corrects.

6. What they are mad about is feeling the pain of their terrible choices. On the strength of that rage, Trump and the Republicans are poised to lose GOP strongholds like Texas. The Dems’ challenge will be figuring out how to reintegrate these voters into the larger project of democratic pluralism.

Pluralism is both a value and a fact
The midterms show that America is a multicultural country, a reality that has endured the MAGA movement’s best efforts to turn back the clock to a nostalgic version of the 1950s that never truly existed. (Gift link) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/1...

every word of this is correct

it’s not often that you can make the world appreciably better by making it appreciably worse for one single guy, but in this case you absolutely can
