Waveshare's new PocketTerm35 is a handheld computer with a 3.5 inch, 640 x 480 pixel touchscreen IPS display, a 67-key keyboard for thumb typing, dedicated buttons for gaming, and a stereo speaker. Designed to use a Raspberry Pi for brains, the system also has four USB Type-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, a microSD card reader, headphone jack, and support for Raspberry Pi OS and other Linux-based operating systems.

Long time no see.
PocketTerm HW check is done. I selected the LoRa module, audio, and microphone chips to use in next revision. Also, I'll move the keyboard to a separate controller and will use terminal blocks instead of the pins. And I have second display so expect DOOM demo soon.

As for the other projects, mainly the laptop, I expect to start working on the keyboard while waiting for the second proto of PocketTerm to be manufactured.

There will probably be a cute squid logo, and the device's name would be Squid Terminal. Or PocketTerm. I haven't made up my mind yet.
