#Policymaking
🗳‼️I cannot stress enough how HUGE this is for nationwide policymaking‼️🗳
Democrats have flipped five governorships — Georgia, Iowa, Texas, Nevada and Iowa — giving them control of a majority of the nation's governorships for the first time in 16 years.

But he doesn’t look so fearsome today.

Such deliberative, well-explained policymaking.

Individual sexual neuroses should really, really not be anywhere near nationwide policymaking. Especially as it would criminalise basically every gay man *overnight*
Being able to suck every inch of your partner’s dick and post the video online is not more important than decreasing rates of sexual violence. Call me a SWERF, whatever. I haven’t deep-throated my partner in years, and he’s not big, and he still tells me I give the best head.

WTF, Politico. "Whole theory of power." He has no theories. He's just an authoritarian, would-be tin-pot dictator spray-painted gold: a fascist.

We discussed the idea of Canada being the first Associate Member of the EU.

And what it would mean in practice.

A focus on the prosperity & security of our people.

Through closer policymaking, participation in EU programmes and inter-institutional work.

We're at the start of a journey ↓

The war, corruption and tariff "decisions were not one-off mistakes, but the direct product of the authoritarian structure of the second Trump administration: a policymaking process built around maximum deference to the president’s wishes and a total disregard for legal constraint."
I'm going to talk here about the deepest reason behind the Democratic triumph. It's not being talked about widely, but it has enormous implications for American politics going forward.

I enjoyed reading Mike’s piece.

Imho regardless of your political orientation, the next few years (at least) of policymaking will involve making unpleasant tradeoffs and tightening belts

The “slack resources” context of the late 2010s is gone
New post: I'm not sure if this is a spicy take or not, but I don't think the 2028 "ideas primary" will look like 2020.

It's worth noting fans and critics of 2020 both emphasize that it could. But there's at least 11 reasons the world is too different.
