Sadly I can't join you this morning but I'll be mentally playing the Xylaphone for Keir Starmer
Bring back proper political journalism at the BBC, like this spectacular example from 1975 youtu.be/Sad7CoNTzjE?...

Increasingly of the view that Starmer is a great Foreign Secretary, but a poor Prime Minister. What say #PoliticalFix

Although #PoliticalFix was overtaken by events the analysis was good. Douglas Alexander has been in my 'Buy' slot since he got back to Westminster & I agree re Angela Rayner. Still think Rachel & Yvette will be swapped.

Robert followed thru' on his own advice. He didn't take on #PoliticalFix when @georgewparker.bsky.social went away, making @greenmirandahere.bsky.social do it. Luckily she shone with help of @pickardje.bsky.social, @stephenkb.bsky.social & @chrisgiles.ft.com

@robertshrimsley.bsky.social Enjoyed #PoliticalFix as always. Re British, I'd say anyone born in UK of GB & NI is British. I'd say I was English as all my ancestors alive, in 1851, were born in England but some of the surnames indicate I've some Welsh & Scots blood along with German, Norman & Jute.

Cannot emphasise enough how intensely fascist / violent it is to criminalise the act of being publicly opposed to civilian murder on false pretences

It is not hyperbole at all to present these government actions as something that will cause serious harm in a bunch of different ways
Linking the march across the bridge to the massacre is disgusting and everyone doing so should be deeply ashamed of their giving tacit support for genocide

Gas company tax is paying for the wages of nurses?
Yeah. Nah.
Over the past decade, nurses paid more tax than oil & gas companies

Gas companies are taking the piss.

@lucyfisher.ft.com @robertshrimsley.bsky.social @stephenkb.bsky.social @pickardje.bsky.social great on the defence picture on today's #PoliticalFix.
With Keir unable to make the arguments needed. Is his best bet to authorise engaging Russian vessels? Win or lose it makes the case to the public?..pt1
