#TorontoTalk - The City of Toronto's #PollinateTO is back!
Last year 34 projects funded through this program adding 1750 sq mt of habitat for pollinators, the size of Allan Garden Indoor Conservatory to our pollinator habitat!

Adding more native plants in pollinator gardens in Toronto can:

🪴 divert stormwater and reduce runoff
🪴 help over 360 species of bees
🪴 support plants in producing seeds, fruits and new growth

We have a pollinator protection strategy for the city that emphasizes the problems with honey bees, and while it hasn't completely eliminated the rooftop-hive beewashing stuff, it has a harder time getting a foothold. Also you can get grants!
