For #WorldHealthDay we celebrate the connection between #biodiversity and human health. 🌿🐝 🌻
Our colleagues in the National Biodiversity Data Centre have published the All-Ireland #PollinatorPlan guide to pollinator-friendly management of healthcare sites, supported by the HSE - see pollinators.ie

Wild Angelica (Angelica sylvestris)-named for its 'angelic' properties-is looking splendiferous here at the moment: so many damp meadows in NW #Ireland. Clearly it's not just hogweed that's loved by bonking beetles! #PollinatorPals @bsbibotany.bsky.social @wildflowerhour.bsky.social #PollinatorPlan

Must be a May record for our #BumbleeMonitoring for #biodiversityIreland. 150 bumblebees! Normally far less here in May + mostly honeybees. The #NoMow and #wild areas mean blankets of #vetch , #clover and #birdsfoottrefoil for all to enjoy! #pollinators #bumbógs #spéirgorm #knocklyon #PollinatorPlan

Our overall #dandelion photo winner was a fab snap capturing a close look at Bombus Lapidarius (red-tailed bumblebee) on a recent survey.

🐝 Well done and happy #BiodiversityDay all! 🐝

Just at the end of my favourite (work) day of the year....the Irish Pollinator Research Network meeting. A super bunch doing really important research, and supporting the exciting next phases of @PollinatorPlan. Thanks to @jimcarolan.bsky.social and @taradirilgen.bsky.social for hosting us this year
