The Isle of Cats. I love polyominos, scratches my brain just right, but the game makes you do a lot of other fluff with the draft and all that before you can pick a tile and place it on your board. I do have Isle of Cats Duel which I haven’t played, but feel like I’d like better. #boardgames

I finally caved and bought Project L this week. I mean look at it, it's so me.
I played a couple of games of it today and immediately went and picked up the two major expansions too. It's a real nice quick but satisfying opener!

... polyominos and place them on a board. Except, they're 3d, and the board is mounted on a 2-axis labyrinth. And your opponent has to run a marble through it, and you score whenever the marble touches the wall. Which means electric circuits.
I guess I should've done this as a videogame after all!

I am working on the archive format more but I also can't stop contemplating the “correct” way to extend SRS to other polyominos. If I crack the code there will be a GBA game incoming since this is within the realm of my abilities
SRS
The Super Rotation System, also known as SRS and Standard Rotation System is the current Tetris Guideline standard for how tetrominoes behave, defining where and how the tetrominoes spawn, how they rotate, and what wall kicks they may perform. SRS traces its routes back to 1991 when BPS introduced its signature third and fourth rotation states for the S, Z, and I tetrominoes in the game Tetris 2 + BomBliss. Two years later, in the game Tetris Battle Gaiden, BPS altered the spawn orientation of the T, L, and J tetrominoes so that they spawned flat-side first. It was not until the 2001 game, Tetris Worlds, that the wall kick system was introduced, and SRS took its final form. Henk Rogers, in his effort to unify all new Tetris games into the Tetris Guideline, required Arika to include a form of SRS in their 2005 game, Tetris The Grand Master 3 Terror-Instinct, where it is called "World" rule, in reference to Tetris Worlds.

Would highly recommend any. Cartographers is so good. Would encourage you to get Welcome to if you like Cartographers. Same sort of feel (building to fit objectives) but a different puzzle (ascending numbered houses instead of polyominos). It's also fairly cheap ($24 here in the states).

Instead of building polyominos, we may just alter it to a flip and write for now. Will be faster to prototype. Anyone else change their boardgame type like that to get things moving?
