I’ve had some quality insects over the years in the polytunnel but decent birds have been thin on the ground until today, when a Snipe walked out of the polytunnel! 😂 #highlandbirds 🪶

Polytunnel #1 ready, found some self set spuds ...... could be lucky.
Polytunnel #2 still got some tomatoes in and it's sunny and 20c today, so leaving them for now.

Another 2.5hrs on my hands & knees this afternoon, stripping tomato plants of excess & unnecessary growth. Why can’t they forget about trying to take over the polytunnel & just concentrate on growing fruit? 😡
There should be a decent harvest though.

Today’s polytunnel moth was a Scorched Carpet, Ligdia adustata - caterpillars feed on spindle. I really must start a polytunnel moth list! North Herefordshire #TeamMoth
