We lost nine Senate seats in 2014, so 2026 appears to be a comparable wave in our direction, but it's not when you look under the hood.

I'm not 100% on this, but I think enough state legislatures flipped just now that the National Popular Vote Compact finally has enough electoral votes to elect the President by popular vote in 2028.
