The blueprints have protocols for that included. The powersystems also have self-tests that run after assembly. The Alliance, being an AI-caretaker type civ, doesn't really trust sapients with this entirely. Theres ongoing back and forth among the comittees about this. 👀

While the blueprint governed process of building these mechsuit powersystems has no waste beyond the normal stuff in mechanical/electrical manufacturing theres the issue of excess product. Sometimes the factories would really like to make more than the contract includes, to get some more sales ... 👀

During production, byproducts are oft formed as materials are processed. Sometimes it's useful, sometimes it's simply waste. #Marchistics, do you have any of these?
