then when pinged the pharmacy says "oh well your insurance says it needs preauthorization" and the loop begins again and then i get asked if my insurance has changed, which it has not

@mcuban.bsky.social Thank you a million times for your drug site. After 35 years of using nebulizer inhalant for asthma, Medicare demanded preauthorization for the medication! My NP suggested costplusdrugs instead. Thank god. Much quicker and no hassles! I’m grateful to you for this resource!

I had my yearly physical this week and after being on advair with this insurance the entire time Ive been at this job I suddenly needed preauthorization from the insurance company to get my advair refilled.

Sometimes bureaucracy means waiting almost a year for a colonoscopy appointment.
And sometimes, it means finding out that you likely have cancer because your GI's office sent a couple of preauthorization requests to your insurance company before you've even seen your pathology report.
